Adult Independent Living Program

Building Stability & Independence for Adults 25 and Older

Anthony’s Safe Haven provides a trauma-informed, structured living environment for adults in Oklahoma who are capable of independent living and are ready to move toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

This program is designed for adults who do not require assisted living or 24/7 supervision, but who benefit from structure, accountability, and supportive services while maintaining autonomy.

Meeting Basic Needs First

Guided by Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the Adult Independent Living Program prioritizes safe, stable housing as the foundation for healing, responsibility, and forward progress. Once housing is secure, participants are better able to focus on employment, mental health, and long-term goals.

Therapy is encouraged but not required for participation.

Is This Program for You?

This program may be a good fit for adults 25 and older who are capable of independent daily living and are experiencing:

  • Housing instability or risk of homelessness

  • Transitions from temporary, unsafe, or institutional settings

  • Stable mental health conditions requiring structure, not supervision

  • Limited family or community support

  • A desire to rebuild routines, employment, and stability

This is an adult program centered on dignity, responsibility, and independence.

Program Requirements

Participants must meet at least one of the following:

  • Full-Time Employment: 32–40 hours per week

  • Part-Time Employment + Stability Plan: Working while pursuing income stability, benefits, or approved goals

  • Alternative Stability Path: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis

Participants must be able to manage daily living responsibilities independently.

The Reality in Oklahoma

Many adults face housing instability due to gaps in support, mental health challenges, or life disruptions—not a lack of effort.

Anthony’s Safe Haven exists to bridge that gap by offering stability, structure, and a clear path forward.
