Young Adult Independent Living Program

Building Stability & Independence for Ages 18–24

Anthony’s Safe Haven provides a trauma-informed, structured environment for young adults in Oklahoma who are ready to transition from instability to long-term independence.

Meeting Basic Needs First

We believe you cannot focus on your future until your present is secure. Following Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, our program prioritizes safe, stable housing as the foundation. Once your physical safety is secured, you are empowered to focus on education, career growth, and self-actualization.

While mental health is a priority, therapy is strongly encouraged but not required for program participation.

Is This Program for You?

This program is specifically designed for young adults (18–24) who are navigating life without a traditional safety net, including:

  • Aging Out of Care: Those transitioning out of the foster care system.

  • Former Foster Youth: Individuals no longer in state custody but lacking stable housing.

  • Housing Instability: Anyone currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

  • System Disruption: Young adults who lacked consistent guidance or support during adolescence.

  1. Program Requirements

To ensure long-term success and accountability, all participants must meet one of the following eligibility tracks:

    1. Full-Time Employment: Working at least 32-40 hours per week.

    2. Work & School: Working part-time while actively enrolled in a degree program, vocational training, or workforce development.

  2. What We Provide

We don’t just provide a bed; we provide a pathway to a self-sufficient life.

    • Stable Housing: A safe, trauma-informed living environment.

    • Life Skills: Hands-on support with budgeting, cooking, and adult responsibilities.

    • Career Guidance: Assistance in navigating school enrollment and job searches.

    • Mentorship: Individualized goal-setting and accountability.

    • Case Management

    • Optional Group and Individual therapy:

  3. The Reality in Oklahoma

In 2026, young adults remain the most "hidden" homeless population in our state. Often exiting foster care or broken systems without a plan, many are forced into survival mode. Anthony’s Safe Haven exists to close that gap, turning survival into stability.
